Food Service Alert: Romaine Advisory
Food Service Alert: Romaine Advisory
Please be advised,

An update from the FDA: Only Romaine lettuce from certain parts of California should be avoided. Romaine lettuce that was harvested outside of the Central Coast growing regions of northern and central California does not appear to be related to the current outbreak. Effective immediately, romaine lettuce entering the market will now be labeled to give consumers information about when and where it was harvested in order to improve the ability of the FDA to provide more targeted information to consumers in the event of a future outbreak of illness.

Piazza Produce is working diligently on replenishing romaine lettuce

  • All affected inventory that was on-hand has been destroyed
  • Piazza will only ship product that follow the guidelines of the FDA and CDC
  • As we slowly replenish Romaine and Spring Mix, we will reopen codes for customer to begin ordering product.
