Piazza Produce is committed to the highest quality standards as we serve our customers and our community. We are proud to meet or exceed all rating requirements in annual audits from organizations such as NSF Cook & Thurber and regular, unannounced inspections from the Indiana State Department of Health. We also have a fully-documented Food Safety Program that minimizes the potential for food contamination to occur during receiving, storage and shipment of our product:

  • We believe in cold chain security from the field to our customer.
  • The moment the produce arrives it is inspected and then stored in climate-controlled areas specifically designed for the unique temperature, humidity and ethylene-level requirements of each item.
  • When products leave our facility they do so in trucks continuously monitored for the temperature of the load.

Our food safety plan covers personal hygiene, sanitation, a documented HACCP program, facility maintenance, crisis management, food defense, a formal recall plan, security, extensive employee training and more.
